Laurel's Birthday

We have just ended Laurel's four-day Birthday extravaganza. It started on Thursday—Laurel's actual birthday. But the fun continued through Sunday when we went out to eat and gave Laurel the last of her presents. Throughout the four days, many decisions were made under the influence of the statement, "well it's still Laurel's birthday." Laurel suggested that we continue this practice for a full twenty-nine days in celebration of her turning twenty-nine. But this policy was not embraced.
