We traveled to Timisoara today to visit a ministry to street children. When we arrived at 11:00 a.m, there were several children waiting for the place to open at 11:30 a.m. By noon there were eleven children ranging in age from about ten to early adult. The smell was rather difficult to deal with and several of them were clearly suffering from the effects of drug abuse. But the most difficult thing for me to get my head around was the fact that these kids actually live on the street. They don't go home at night. It is one thing to see them on pictures or a video. But to interact with a child who lives on the street was mind-blowing for me.
Four of the eleven left after about twenty minutes even though they are supposed to stay until five. I think that they might have been kicked out for the day because of poor behavior, though I am unsure what they did.
Baron kicks the ball during game time. By the way, Laurel won the game.
The man in the middle is a leader in the center.
The boy on the left is a very active and distractible ball of life. During the spiritual challenge, the boy kept on making waves with his stomach muscles.
