safe arrival

We are safe and sound in Romania. Though Laurel suffering through a difficult fourth day of her cold today, we had an enjoyable day. Our room has no windows, and so we slept much longer than expected. After we woke up we had lunch and ran some errands with Baron Howerton. We discovered that Romania doesn't convert won (S. Korean currency) into Lei (Romanian currency). After dinner, we went to church for a Bible study. It was all in Romanian, so I kept thinking, I hope to be able to understand this eventually. Tomorrow we are scheduled to visit an organization run by New Zealanders that works with street children during the day.

I didn't take many pictures today. But here they are anyway. I hope to send more in the days to follow as I have time and internet availability.

This picture is actually from Tuesday in the Munich airport. It was so peaceful in the area that we were waiting. And there was complimentary tea and coffee. I had black tea with milk. Laurel had some green tea with an added fruity taste. Sorry about it being crooked. I was pretty tired at the time.

This is a street in Lugoj where we stopped on one the errands. We went to two banks, two phone stores, three hardware stores, and three residences.

This is the view from the top of the stairs, leading to the guest apartment that we are lodging in.
