almost a week already

Athan will be a week old tomorrow, his due date. A number of people have asked about the significance of his name. We have named him after Athanasius of Alexandria (visit the link for historical information) and after Laurel's father, Lloyd E. Nickerson. We chose the name because 1) we like it, 2) the name declines well in Romanian (i.e. - Romanians should not have a hard time using it), and 3) Athan stood for biblical truth in spite of the wide spread error of his day. We hope that sharing the story of Athan's namesake will open opportunities to share biblical truth with people of today.
