From Rockport to Charleston

This month has been one of much travel. We left Greenville, South Carolina on May 2nd for a missions conference in Massachusetts. While there we visited Rockport and Boston. After the conference we stopped by D.C, staying with my aunt and uncle, before making our way to our next meeting in North Carolina. After two meeting there, we presented at a church in Charleston, SC. Finally, we returned to Greenville. Here are some pictures of some of the more scenic areas.

a harbor at Rockport

I thought these lobster traps (?) looked like a good picture.

In addition to the shops, Rockport is nice for the view.

Even alley ways look nice with water.

I was proud of myself for capturing this in the car.

We visited the Bunker Hill Monument in Boston.

The Richmonds were one of the missionaries with us at the conference.

It took a lot to make it to the top of the monument.

"Old Ironsides" is the oldest commissioned vessel in the US fleet.

They don't make them like they used to.

This statue to Paul Revere is just outside the Old North Church.

Note the bricked in window. The British were so mad that the lamp lighter escaped through the window that they bricked it up.

Old North's organ

One of these things is not like the other.

Here are all the missionary families who were at the conference (Seger, Louks, Richmonds, Diem).

Library of Congress in D.C.

This looked very strange to me.

The little girl didn't know what to make of Laurel.

Laurel enjoyed wading at the Navy monument.

Unfortunately a park attendant made everyone get out.

This is my favorite chair ever.

It makes me want to celebrate.
