day trip

David and Melissa returned from Korea on Wednesday. We decided to go up to Spencer to see them before they headed off again. Laurel and I had a very pleasant drive, and we really enjoyed seeing them. In addition to talking, touring, jumping on a "treadmill," and eating, we also played two rounds of Apples to Apples. Melissa won the first game with ease, but she didn't get a single card the whole second game. Just before we left to return to Greenville, Emery and Alison called to announce the birth of their newborn son, Micah Nathaniel. There was much celebration among the six of us. I'm an uncle!
