It’s okay to say no to people.
If you are ministry-minded and hard-working, you will never have any lack of things to do. I was recently talking to someone about a mutual friend of ours who is perpetually busy. The person I was talking to kept on expecting the other person to enter a less busy time only to discover that said person filled up completed tasks with new ones. That's not necessarily bad. But each person needs to know his or her limits.
While I was teaching in Korea, my limits were frequently pushed to the max. Actually, my limits were often exceeded. It gave me opportunities to rest in the Lord and to see His strength in my daily life. But it was also a lesson to me in priorities. By the end of my time in Korea, I didn't say yes to any opportunity that presented itself. I learned to say, "no, I should not (or cannot) do that." What helpful words these were.
