another week

The plan for this next week is to visit an orphan care facility called Livada in the city of Targu Mures. This city in near the center of Transylvania (so I'll have to be on the look-out for bats and wolves). We plan on departing from Lugoj at 6:00 a.m. on Monday and returning late Friday evening. The Howertons are driving us there, and we are taking a train back. I am a bit nervous about traveling by train when we don't speak the language and have to make a connection, but we will be borrowing a cell phone, and the Lord could take care of us even without a cell phone.

As for the time at Livata, we expect a very different experience there than what we experienced at the last orphanage. Last weeks place had one house with twenty-two kids that we were able to view in five minutes. We have been told that Livada grouped the kids in family units of twelve. We were also told that seeing the entirety of the facilities will take three and a half days.

Please pray that the Lord will use our seeing this last facility and our talking with the staff there to give us clear direction as to what to prepare for and how to prepare for it.
