unexpected sadness

This weekend was a weekend of closings. On Saturday afternoon, Laurel held her last girls Bible study, and then we presented our burden for European street children at the Haven that evening. We were very happy to see so many of the young people attend the presentation.

On Sunday morning we hung our hat. It is a tradition at the Haven to hang a hat with your name on it before you leave. Our hat also had the url to this blog. This is not a tradition. We are the first to do such a thing. Here are some happy pictures from the event.

On Sunday afternoon, we went to our last bilingual service. I expected the bilingual service to be difficult for me, but I was surprised at how difficult it was. I was also taken back by how difficult it seemed to be for the people at the service. Many of us were close to tears, if not actually in tears. It is sad for me to leave them, but I am glad that the Lord has used Laurel and I in their lives. I count it a privilege.
