anniversary pictures

This picture is actually from the day before our anniversary. We had many courses. One of them was a seafood soup. I found this little guy floating around. I took a picture of him right before consumption.

This is the octopus restaurant. We had dinner here with Dave and Melissa. Somehow, they escaped the lens of my camera.

The day itself brought much travel on the subway in Seoul.

We were so excited to finally find casa loca. It's the only Mexican restaurant that I've seen in Korea. And although they didn't offer us any kimchi, it still had a decidedly Korea flare to it.

Laurel's skin is quite smooth but surprisingly strong. Look how she hugs the cactus as if it were nothing. I guess she is just used to my face, and what is a cactus after that.

After dinner we tried to find the river boat cruise ship, but instead found the capital building.

On our way past the capital we stopped on a shaded bench and relaxed.

Other things happened here too.

Along the riverside, we encountered many different people walking, fishing, relaxing, and exercising. I found the exercise equipment under the bridge particularly amusing. Laurel was kind enough to pose on it.

We didn't ever make it to the riverboat. They had stopped running the trip that we wanted to take by the time we got there. We went to the 63 Building instead. There was a fun metal forest out front.

Here I am frolicking in the forest.

I love this picture.

We went to the 63 Building two years ago when Laurel was visiting. But we were really tired and wanted to go somewhere that we could get off our feet.

The I-Max sealed the deal. Frankly, the show was rather lousy, but we did not mind much.

After our break we were ready for some more adventure.

Laurel did not make it to the top because some weirdo was shaking it while she was on. No, I was not the weirdo.

We finished off the day at another restaurant. I don't know what we ate, but it was quite tasty.

This doesn't have anything to do with our anniversary, but Laurel was really amused at the marketing of "Green grass" pizza.
