it's a dangerous job
Every job comes with its own set of occupational hazards. I am a teacher. Notable occupational hazards in my field include high exposure to infectious pathogens, sleep deprivation due to grading, frustration due to the underachievers or the overactive, and paper cuts. I suppose that the list could be easily lengthened, especially in public schools, but I experienced one today that few would anticipate: falling doors. The door to my classroom fell of its hinges. Thankfully no one was under it when it crashed to the ground, but while trying to assist my principal fix my door, my middle fingernail on my right hand was dealt a potentially fatal blow. It hurt something fierce and is still rather uncomfortable, but thankfully, it looks as if it is going to pull through.
